HISTORY

Thomson history

On July 10th 1967 Thomson’s Printing was opened in Smollett Street, Albury by Barry Thomson. Working long hours on his own Barry bought himself a canary to keep him company. Unfortunately the bird did not talk back so it was not long before Barry decided to employ a helper. After about 2 years the business had outgrown its premises and moved around the corner to David Street.

Since these humble beginnings over 40 years ago Thomson’s Printing has continued to expand and outgrow its home. For nearly 20 years it has been located on a 2000 square meter facility at 409 Kiewa Street, Albury. Through technological expansion Thomson’s have continued to provide the region and beyond with fast, efficient, cost effective and reliable service.

After Barry’s sudden passing in August 2001 Thomson’s Printing has remained a family owned business. Now trading as Thomson’s Graphipress Barry’s son, Donald Thomson, is now the Managing Director. Donald has worked in the business for 25 years and has continued with the vision his father started with of providing the “Finest Work” at the “Fairest Prices”.
